Calibration of Electronic Devices

Our newly renovated Calibration laboratory in our Fo Tan premises has doubled in capacity, allowing us to significantly increase our Calibration offering to customers. Amongst the new services is the calibration of various electronic devices such as the calibration of Digital Multimeters and Digital Clamp Meters.

Laboratories Renovated to State-Of-The-Art Facilities

In May 2020, we completed works on the renovation of our Environmental & Chemical laboratory as well as our Calibration laboratory. These state-of-the-art modern facilities in our Fo Tan premises allow us to operate in a more efficient manner as well as room to grow our range of services.

Mist Room opened for Deep Cement Testing

Our Mist Room provides an additional service offered by our Construction Materials department. Deep Cement Mixing has become widely used in reclamation works in Hong Kong. Controlled at 95-100% relative humidity and 20-25°C ambient temperature, our Mist Room allows for samples to be cured before undergoing unconfined compressive strength tests to determine the quality and strength of the engineering properties of the Cement Stabilised Soil used on these projects.

ETL Director receives an Honorary Degree

The honorary degree of Doctor of the University of Strathclyde has been conferred upon ETL Director Stewart Saunders at a ceremony on 9th November 2018 at a Graduation Ceremony in the University’s Barony Hall in Glasgow, Scotland. According to the Award Citation, the award “recognizes business excellence in senior roles in the Electricity Supply Industry in both the UK and overseas”.

Technical Assessment of Welded Samples for Welding Exhibitions

ETS-Testconsult Ltd. is honoured to have been invited to provide technical assessment of welded samples for two recent Welding Exhibitions. Both events brought together experts in the field of welding to share in-depth knowledge and offer professional evaluations of the welded samples provided by trade welders for the welding competition.

The Ultrasonic Contact Impedance (UCI) method of portable ultrasonic hardness testing allows for the determination of comparative hardness values by electronically measuring the frequency shift.
