HOKLAS accreditation of the Macro Examination & Tensile Test of Welded Shear Studs

Macro Examination and Tensile Test of Welded Shear Stud are the two kinds of essential tests stipulated in the Stud Welding Procedure and Welding Operator Tests according to the British Standard BS EN ISO 14555: 2017.

Macro Examination reveals all visible imperfections of welded joints and the Tensile Test provides results on the breaking strength, the fracture surface condition, and the fracture location. Accordingly, the internal weld soundness of the welded stud joint can be evaluated.

By achieving the HOKLAS accreditation of the Visual Inspection, Bend Test in conjunction with Macro Examination and Tensile Test, we are approved and competent to perform these stipulated tests and issue HOKLAS-endorsed Weld Test Reports and HKIAS-endorsed Welding Inspection Reports on Welded Shear Stud Joints to meet our customer’s needs.
