Automatic Concrete Cube Measuring

In December 2023, to keep abreast with the latest technology in Concrete Cube testing, our Concrete Laboratory put into operation an Automatic Cube Measuring Device, which was then HOKLAS accredited in November 2024.

The device measures the length, width, height and even the weight of concrete cubes that are sent to us for testing.  Our Automatic Cube Measuring Device is composed of three laser detectors, a test specimen supporting stage, a load cell and a test data display panel. 

The measured results are captured automatically and the data is instantaneously recorded in the system, before being further processed in our computerized programmed test system.  Consequently, the operation of this device not only reduces human error but also improves the accuracy and repeatability of the test.
